Free help is assistance without a price, a budget, or a deposit. On a request marked free help, Send an offer records a zero-price proposal and the note you type. Sending an offer does not charge you. It does not assign the helper, create a booking, or open a card payment. The public request form’s Budget field is for paid requests. Leaving it blank is not a free-help switch.
Where to go
A free-help request shows Send an offer when offer help is available. The fields are Confirmed scope and deliverables and Message. Find help for your project does not set arrangement to free help. Leaving Budget empty does not switch it.
What to do
- Read the request. If it is free help, use Send an offer, Confirmed scope and deliverables, and Message.
- Do not type a price or a deposit.
- Wait for the other person. Interest is not an assignment.
- If you wanted paid work, post a separate request and use Budget or an offer with a price.
What you should see
The request page shows Send an offer for free help only when offer help is available. You fill Confirmed scope and deliverables and an optional Message. The form says sending an offer does not charge you. Post request does not create this arrangement. A priced Send an offer is a different action, submit proposal, and it is hidden on free help.
What this does not mean
- The product rejects free help that carries money.
- A free item listing is a giveaway, not this flow.
- Acceptance of a zero-price offer is still not a staffing assignment.
