Open the request you posted to change it or close it with the controls that request shows. If the only control is the request itself and it is still a draft or in review, the done screen told you that providers may not see it yet. Closing a request does not cancel an offer someone already accepted. That acceptance has its own record.
Where to go
Open the request you posted. Owner controls edit the words, pause, reopen, or close. Withdraw offer is separate and lives on an offer you sent.
What to do
- Open Requests and select the one you posted.
- Use the owner controls on that request to edit or close it.
- If someone already sent an offer, tell them in the thread and withdraw or decline that offer with its own control.
- Write a new request if the job changed enough that the old description would mislead.
What you should see
Search can be empty. That means nothing published matched. Post request is a different page and does not hire anyone. Budget on that form is optional and is not a free-help switch.
What this does not mean
- Closing a request does not by itself cancel a deal.
- You cannot convert a free-help request into paid work by quietly editing in a price. Use a separate paid request.
- Deleting the text in a message does not change the posted request.
