Read the listing or request before you write. Check the area, the description, and any qualifications the person claims. Ask about timing, scope, and the total you would be agreeing to. Do not send passwords, card numbers, or a private address in a public listing.
Where to go
Start from the listing or the request so the thread stays attached. Continue in Messages. Report and Block are on the thread, not on the public listing text.
What to do
- Open the full listing or request, not only the search row.
- Note what is included and what you still need to ask.
- Start the conversation from that listing or request so the thread stays attached to it.
- Keep payment card numbers and one-time codes out of the message.
What you should see
The register screen lists three notes: free to join, nothing is charged until you confirm a deal, and you can look around and message before you decide. Card payments are not open, so confirming a deal today does not charge a card. If documents are unavailable, the form says so.
What this does not mean
- A profile is not proof of a license, insurance, or identity.
- Neighbor text in a draft is not the other person’s promise.
- Moving the conversation off Hire a Neighbor drops the record the product can show later.
