Hire a Neighbor helps people find useful work and offer it. You can browse published listings, describe something you need, and talk with the other person before either of you agrees. A listing is not a promise that a person is free, qualified, or hired.
Where to go
Search is Find help, services and items at /search. Asking is Find help for your project at /request/new. Publishing is Offer your services or items at /post. The sell page at /sell links into posting.
What to do
- Open Find help, services and items at Search to read published listings.
- Read the full description, the area, and any qualifications the person states.
- To ask for work that is not listed, sign in and open Find help for your project.
- To offer work or an item, open Offer your services or items.
What you should see
The register screen lists three notes: free to join, nothing is charged until you confirm a deal, and you can look around and message before you decide. Card payments are not open, so confirming a deal today does not charge a card. If documents are unavailable, the form says so.
What this does not mean
- A message, a search result, or a Neighbor suggestion does not create a deal.
- Card payments and bank payouts are not open.
- If Create your account will not finish, use the waitlist and Contact. Public signup can stay closed until legal, recovery, and payment receipts exist.
