Some categories ask for a license, insurance, or another credential before a listing can be published. The readiness checklist and the error on publish name the missing item. State only qualifications you hold. A verification badge means one check the product recorded. It is not a general approval of your work. Identity checks stay held with payments, so a badge may be absent even when you are qualified.
Where to go
A failed Publish listing names the missing check. Settings, Verification, shows Email verified or Email not verified, and Phone verified or Phone not verified, plus any other check the account actually has.
What to do
- Read the category requirements before you publish.
- If publish fails, open the fix link and complete the item it names.
- Describe licenses you hold in your own words only when they are true.
- Use Settings and Verification to see email, phone, and any other checks the account shows.
What you should see
The posting button is Publish listing. After that, Pause listing is on the listing you own. A type includes Service, Product, Rental, and Free item, among the choices the form shows. Free item means a giveaway, not unpaid labor.
What this does not mean
- Do not upload someone else’s credential.
- A badge is not a warranty.
- This page does not give legal advice about which license a job requires.
