You can look for help, offer a listing, or do both. Search is for finding published listings. Offer your services or items is for publishing. Find help for your project is for describing work you want someone else to do. Messages is where a specific conversation continues.
Where to go
Looking is /search. Asking is /request/new. Offering is /post. Messages are /inbox. Settings at /settings holds language, time zone, and whether your profile is in search. You do not pick a permanent role.
What to do
- Use Search when you want to see what is already published.
- Use Find help for your project when you need to describe the job.
- Use Offer your services or items when you want to publish a service, item, rental, or other listing type the form allows.
- Open Settings to set language, time zone, and whether your profile is included in search.
What you should see
The register screen lists three notes: free to join, nothing is charged until you confirm a deal, and you can look around and message before you decide. Card payments are not open, so confirming a deal today does not charge a card. If documents are unavailable, the form says so.
What this does not mean
- Choosing a path does not assign a helper or a customer.
- Free item on a listing is a giveaway. It is not the same as a free-help request.
- You can change your profile later. You do not pick a permanent role on the account.
