Notifications is the list of alerts. On a thread, Mute notices stops alerts for that conversation without deleting it. Settings and the notification preferences control how you are reached. Quiet hours, if the screen offers them, apply only where the control exists. Mail delivery is not promised.
Where to go
The notifications list is /notifications. Mute notices is per thread. Settings holds Only people reply to me. There is no promise of email, push, or SMS for every event.
What to do
- Open Notifications to read what is waiting.
- On a noisy thread, choose Mute notices.
- Open Settings or the notification preferences to change the channels the screen actually lists.
- Choose Unmute on that thread when you want alerts again.
What you should see
The inbox can show an empty state, No conversations yet, with Browse listings. A thread menu includes Mute notices, Archive, Block, and I’ll handle this myself. The offer, when there is one, is on that thread.
What this does not mean
- Mute is not Block.
- Turning off an alert does not cancel an offer or a deal.
- This page does not promise a push, a text, or an email for every event.
