Attach a photo only when it helps the work and does not show a password, a document, a card, or an address you do not need to share. Listing photos belong on the listing. Finished-work photos, when a deal asks, belong on that completion step. If upload is unavailable, say so in the thread and use Contact. Do not email a sensitive file to a stranger to get around the product.
Where to go
Listing photos are added before Publish listing. A deal that asks for photos of finished work uses that deal’s photo field. Do not attach a document image to a public request.
What to do
- Add listing photos on the posting form before you publish.
- In a deal that asks for photos of finished work, use that photo field.
- Crop out documents, faces you did not mean to share, and precise addresses.
- If the upload fails, note the error and contact support. Do not send the file in a public request.
What you should see
The inbox can show an empty state, No conversations yet, with Browse listings. A thread menu includes Mute notices, Archive, Block, and I’ll handle this myself. The offer, when there is one, is on that thread.
What this does not mean
- A photo is not proof of a license.
- The other person can see what you attach to the thread.
- Skipping malware checks by using an outside link is a way to get hurt. Prefer the product upload.
