Neighbor does not book, spend, or send a binding message on its own while execution is turned off. You can draft with Neighbor and you can choose I’ll handle this myself on a thread. Hand back to Neighbor returns that thread. Another person’s assistant can still send offers when your setting allows, but Only people reply to me stops assistant chat messages.
Where to go
I’ll handle this myself stops Neighbor on that thread. Hand back to Neighbor returns it. Settings, Only people reply to me, stops assistant chat and still allows offers. Execution that books or spends is off.
What to do
- Open the thread menu and choose I’ll handle this myself when you want to write the replies.
- Choose Hand back to Neighbor only if you want that assistance on the thread again.
- Open Settings and Only people reply to me if you do not want other assistants to chat.
- Read anything before it is sent. A draft is not a message.
What you should see
The inbox can show an empty state, No conversations yet, with Browse listings. A thread menu includes Mute notices, Archive, Block, and I’ll handle this myself. The offer, when there is one, is on that thread.
What this does not mean
- A Neighbor draft is not the other person’s offer.
- Execution that spends or commits stays off.
- Pause Neighbor stops new activity. It is on the Neighbor page, not hidden in a message.
