No live refund timing and no live payout timing are in force for customers, because card payments and bank payouts are not open. When a payout screen exists, pending and in transit are not paid, and Stripe reports paid can still be reversed by the bank. When a deal shows a cancellation rule, that rule is the one on the offer, and it is not a clock for money that was never captured.
Where to go
There is no live refund clock and no live payout clock while payments are held. The cancellation line on the offer is the rule for that offer. It is not a date when money arrives.
What to do
- Read the offer’s Cancellation section for the rule on that deal.
- Read the payout label if a payout row exists.
- Do not plan a bill around a payout that the screen has not marked Stripe reports paid, and even then confirm the bank.
- Use Contact with the reference if two screens disagree.
What you should see
When a payout row exists, the labels are Submitted to the payment partner, Waiting to be sent to your bank, Sent toward your bank, not confirmed, Stripe reports paid, Not paid — the bank payout failed, Canceled before it was paid, Held, and Under review. Waiting and in transit are not paid. Stripe reports paid still tells you to confirm with your bank, because a later return can change it. No payout row is expected while payouts are not open.
What this does not mean
- There is no universal number of days on this page.
- A transfer is not a payout, so it has no bank arrival time.
- Do not pay an outside person to “speed up” a payout.
