On a deal, Report a problem asks what went wrong and what happened. The reasons include work that is not what was agreed, work that was not finished, quality, a no-show, a payment problem, or something else. Filing that report is the in-product record. It is not an emergency response. Card payments are not open. Do not repeat any on-screen sentence that promises a reply in a fixed number of hours. Support does not promise a reply time.
Where to go
Report a problem asks what went wrong. The reasons include not as agreed, not finished, quality, a no-show, a payment problem, or something else. Report a safety concern is the other button.
What to do
- Open the deal and choose Report a problem.
- Pick the reason and describe what was agreed and what happened.
- Add only the evidence the form asks for. Remove secrets and other people’s unrelated private details.
- Use Report a safety concern if you feel unsafe, and call emergency services first if anyone is in danger.
What you should see
When a payout row exists, the labels are Submitted to the payment partner, Waiting to be sent to your bank, Sent toward your bank, not confirmed, Stripe reports paid, Not paid — the bank payout failed, Canceled before it was paid, Held, and Under review. Waiting and in transit are not paid. Stripe reports paid still tells you to confirm with your bank, because a later return can change it. No payout row is expected while payouts are not open.
What this does not mean
- A dispute report is not a payout and not a refund promise.
- The other person may be notified, because the form says so.
- Support is not a court and not an emergency service.
